Hi my name is Rebecca Basson and I was born in Windhoek. I live with my parents, two older sisters, two cousins, and a little brother. I want to be a geologist or an air hostess when I grow up. I like that I am unique and different from other people. My friends would say that I smile a lot, I am fun to be with and talkative, and also that I am always just who I am. I like the trips that MYO organize for us, the computer lab, math and ALL of the teachers. MYO has helped me with math, English and life skills. My favorite colors are purple and white. My favorite food is spaghetti bolonaise and lasagna and my favorite music is R&B and Hip Hop.

Wendy Geingos

Hi my name is Wendy Geingos and I am in 9th grade. I was born in Outjo. I live with my father. I want to be a person who contributes to the community and help others when I grow up. I am a happy person and my friends would say that I am weird, funny and interesting. MYO sees something in us and teaches us to reach for higher standards, become good people in society and have good jobs, like doctor, engineer, or minister. MYO has helped me with my maths skills, English, reading and to become more comfortable in groups. It has also helped my build my confidence. My favorite color is yellow and favorite food is lasagna. I like all kinds of music, except heavy metal.

My Motto: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Hi my name is Motjaritje “Nancy” Muruko and I am in 9th grade. I was born in Usakos. I live with my mom, brother and sister. I want to be an accountant or a private doctor when I grow up. I am friendly, calm and understanding. My friends say that I am beautiful and sweet. I like the teachers at MYO and the way that they teach us. MYO has increased my level of knowledge in mathematics and it has taught me many new things that I did not know. My favorite colors are pink, blue and yellow. My favorite meal is KFC with a Coke and I really like House music.

My Motto: Never give up!

Reberria Nakwafila

I was born in Swakopmund and live with my mom and stepdad. My sisters lives in Windhoek, Oranjemund and my brother in Ongweeliva. I want to be a surgeon because I want to help the victims of horrific car crashes. I know I need to have good grades to become a doctor. I am beautiful, determined, straight forward and a true problem solver (like my mum). Friends consider me talkative and smart. The best thing about MYO is that I learned about projects and how to use the internet to find information. I read the papers on the internet and have learned about Somalia’s suffering. With the help of MYO I understand maths much better which helps a lot with my schoolwork. I like pink, not just the colour but also the rock star together with hip hop, RnB and Reggae. Mum makes delicious lasagna and pizza and at family gatherings. I help helps out as well.
My motto: follow your instinct, don’t hold back when you are determined to do something.

Josephine Nauyoma

Hi my name is Josephine Nauyoma and I was born in Oshakati. I live with my mom and my cousin. I want to be a teacher or an actress when I grow up. I like that I am calm and understanding. My friends say that I am friendly and honest. MYO teaches us the basic knowledge that we need to know. They have helped improve my maths skills and to put more effort in my education. My favorite colors are pink and violet. My favorite food is KFC and favorite kind of music is gospel.

My Motto: Faith and honesty is the most successful ingredient in life.

Julia Nkandi (former Benediction Scholar)

Hi my name is Julia Nkandi and I was born in Ondangwa and I live with my aunt. I want to be an actress when I grow up. My favorite part of me is my eyes. My friends would say that I am kind and spontaneous. I really like the computer lab and library at MYO. They have taught me many new things. My favorite color is pink and my favorite food is lasagna. I like to listen to Jazz music.

My Motto: I like to watch TV and hope that one day I am on it.

Lizinho Pallais (former Benediction Scholar)

Hello, I,m Lizinho. I was born in Swakopmund. I have a small family. I live with my grandmother, my mother and my little brother. I want to be a biologist and a teacher. I want to study nature to find out the way the body is structured and find new inventions to help us learn about the body. I’d like to be a teacher. At school I like helping other learners. I feel like I could help them a lot and distribute what the teacher have taught me. I like my capabilities, as well as my behavior. My friends say I am obedient well mannered intelligent and full of charisma. I love reading and being busy! Whenever I have free time, I have to do something for instance, I am vice chairperson of NANSO (Namibia National Student Organization) at SSS and it keeps me quite busy. I make sure that the whole branch is working well and i make sure that the chair person does his job well.
My motto is ‘express yourself as you are’.

Hi my name is Lili. I was born in Swakopmund. I live with my mom and dad and twin brothers. They don’t think alike and are naughty. They are only ten months old. I don’t yet know what I want to be when I grow up. I like jokes, I enjoy them. Being with my friends makes me happy. When I fail a test at school it makes me sad.

Ester Shitana (former Benediction Scholar)

Hi my name is Ester Shitana and I was born in Walvis Bay. I live with my father, mother, sister, three older brothers, and my nephew. I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I like my hair and my friends would say that I am shocked, helpful, stingy, and inspiring others to be a hard worker. MYO is a great organization that teaches us things that we never knew and takes us places we never dreamed of going. It has improved my knowledge, maths skills and English. I also really like the life skills class because it helps develop female awareness. My favorite colors are pink and red and my favorite music is local music and hip hop. And I like ANYTHING cooked by my mom!
My Motto: Be yourself and don’t try to change your way of living because of someone or what someone has said.

Hi my name is Sarde Washeya and I was born in Angola. I live with my father and sister. I want to be an agriculturalist, teacher or an engineer when I grow up. I like everything about myself. My friends say that I am talkative and competitive. I like MYO’s way of educating us and what they are offering us. MYO has helped me learn something new every day and meet new people, even people from other countries. My favorite colours are pink, orange and baby blue. My favorite foods are chocolate, ice cream and traditional spinach. I really like love songs and kwaito music.
