MYO
Our mission – What We Do and Why
In our mission to address the prevailing crisis, we focus on academic excellence, particularly in English, Mathematics, and Reading. However, we believe in nurturing the “Whole Child” by offering additional programs such as Music, Computer Skills Training, and comprehensive Life Skills courses. By equipping our young learners with a solid academic foundation and essential life skills, we empower them to overcome the obstacles of their impoverished community. Through our comprehensive program, the 120 students enrolled in MYO benefit from approximately 500 additional hours of tuition. We firmly believe in equal access to education, and our services are provided free of charge to scholars, with mandatory attendance. We foster discipline in the classroom while encouraging our learners to develop leadership skills alongside academic excellence. Additionally, we organize two field trips per year, allowing our students to explore the wonders and lessons of Namibia beyond the confines of their community.
By striking this balance between academic education, leadership development, and citizenship, we strive to shape resilient individuals who will positively impact not only their own lives but also the future well-being of Namibia.
