On the 8th of August MYO had its annual talent showcase. Each grade performed musical pieces that they learned from our music teachers and volunteers. On the 3rd of August many of our MYO students participated in the Husab marathon. Many have been regular runners at the Swakopmund Parkrun on Saturdays with Mrs Sue Wagner, and now they had the opportunity to put their parkrun experience into practice. We had the privilege of having Dr Kate Leeming come and speak to our Grade 7 and 8 students about her Skeleton Coast Expedition. She is renowned for her cycling expeditions around the world and is currently cycling down the entire Namibian Coast.
